ATTENTION Rural Property Owners.
CUP14-0005 Meeting @ Boswell Hall this Thursday HAS BEEN CANCELED by the developer.
There is no meeting this week @ NIC for this Project. We were contacted directly by Community Development this morning that they asked to cancel the meeting for an indefinite period of time and no future date is on the books at this time.
While nobody can be absolutely certain as to their reasoning, we can easily assume the Swartout Team realizes that their pro-approval arguments are weak and certain to fail due to the overwhelming FACTS supporting DENIAL of this application. It’s IMPORTANT to understand that this is NOT A WITHDRAWAL of the CUP14-005 Wastewater Treatment and Reuse Facility Application!
It is merely a stall to attempt to gain support for this dangerous and detrimental plan. Many of us choose to believe that A) we are WINNING! B) the developers hope that with more time, that we, the opposing public, will eventually lose interest in our organized and active campaign to prevent the desecration of our rural lifestyles with high density, low income housing.
If losing interest over time is their hope, they still don’t understand how passionate and sincere “we” are to protect and preserve our rural lifestyles for the generations that follow
We’ll see all of you as soon as this comes back up.
Make sure to share, like, and post so our friends and neighbors are aware.
Enjoy the fall weather folks.
We have our opportunity speak in opposition to the CUP 14-0005 for a Waste Water Treatment and Reuse Facility as applied for by Mort Construction.
BOCC Meeting is this Thursday on the NIC Campus, Schuler Auditorium @ 6PM. Be there early to sign in and if you are not planning to speak then plan to give your time to one of our group presenters. WEAR RED! This will help to send unified voice and presence in opposition to this kind of bullying.
This is just one more attempt of Dennis Swartout to change the landscape of our rural North Kootenai County for his personal financial gain. For those that are unaware, Scott Poorman acting as the Applicants representative has filed a law suit against the Kootenai County to appeal and overturn the previous denial of the rezone request of the 34 acre parcel next to Corbin Hill. That one is not dead or finished. We rallied then and were able to get that denied and since they did not get what they wanted they are suing the county to get it.
Don’t be fooled . This Waste Water Plant is not some philanthropic endeavor by kind hearted developers and landowners to protect and provide for free this project for the people and the county. This is an attempt try by whatever means possible to force their agenda regardless of need, public opinion or impact, taking the money and leaving the residents and county to deal with the repercussion and expense after they are long gone.
Bring everyone you know to this important meeting. This is not just an Athol, or North Kootenai County issue it is an all of Kootenai County issue. So if you are in the county or know someone in the county, buy them a cup of coffee and bring them along.
Share, Like, and Post this as much as possible.
Let’s Pack the Auditorium out and send a clear message to Swartout, Mort and our elected commissioners that this development is not needed, or wanted by the people in this area!
See you all Thursday Sept 24th @ 6PM wearing red!
