Here in Virginia, those Cuban government jammers were a pain, and some are still around, but far fewer and not as concentrated. Maybe the Fidelitos are running out of gas money to operate the generators for their jammers? BUT, as you said, certain modes got through with little trouble. CONTESTIA 4/250 had been selected because of it’s performance in high noise/low signal environments, so this as a real world test. In non-computer modes, I copied a lof of Cuban to Cuban (some in the USA) conversations in good old Morse code. wide jammers and narrow filters for Morse / CW worked very well to get the messages through.
This particular podcast is especially delicious for this old radio soldier. 😉
