Listening to episode 19-11 on the segment from AlertsUSA on the GPS week rollover. I got email from Homeland Sesucrity on this a few weeks ago. The GPS in phones and cars is not the issue. A LOT of computer datacenters use GPS as a time signal. Our datacenter used to use a cell signal to sync all the servers and workstations for Kerberos. Now we use GPS. There exist the risk that if GPS goes way wonky, the time sync gets off, and then Kerberos and time-sensitive authentication could be affected.
