Does something stink? See which one seems more credible to you.
- Account #1- Mark McConnell: Detained at the traffic stop but released shortly thereafter. Was not in the vehicle that Lavoy was driving. Posts video the evening of the incident.
- Account #2 Victoria Sharp: Detained and later released. She was in the vehicle with Lavoy during the incident. Conducted this interview days after the event.
- Account #3 Shawna Cox: Detained and later released. Since has been recalled and ordered to submit to an ankle bracelet monitor until future hearings. She was also in the vehicle with Lavoy. This interview was released a couple days after Victoria’s interview.
Account 1 – Mark McConnell
Account 2 – Victoria Sharp
Account 3 – Shawna Cox
Mr McConnell’s vocabulary seems to me law enforcement background.
You are absolutely right about that. See excerpts from his testimony and my comment below.
My evaluation of the FBI video, with Victorias testimony dubbed over it, is at http://cowboyentertainer.blogspot.com . unjustified shooting… Murder
For what it’s worth. multiple witnesses of the same event will give slightly different stories based on what they saw. It’s a human thing. When a bunch of people give identical testimony, it’s a good bet they collaborated on their story. How many versions are we getting from law enforcement supposedly on the scene? As far as I can see, just one.
Mark McConnell’s testimony CANNOT BE BELIEVED BECAUSE HE WAS NOWHERE NEAR THE FINAL SCENE. He was the driver of the jeep which stopped and stayed stopped while Finicum undertook evasive measures. MCCONNELL WALKED AWAY WITH NO ARREST AND NO CHARGES for his involvement, only to offer a half-scripted testimony filled with LEO lingo.
He refers quite naturally to “HRT” (the FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team, an acronym most lay-people are unfamiliar with).
He calls his pretended new friends “THE OCCUPANTS” and refers to everyone by their first names except “the 18 year old,” or more specifically, the “18 YEAR OLD GIRL THAT WON’T DISCLOSE HER NAME,” (referencing Victoria Sharp while complying with the approved content of the 1/26/16 FBI press release).
He admonishes ,“Anytime somebody takes off in a vehicle away from law enforcement after they’ve EXERCISED A STOP, is typically considered an act of aggression.”
Of his relationship with Lavoy he stated, “I loved the dude, met him three weeks ago.”
Of his own supposed involvement and interrogation he affirms “They didn’t have anything on me.” “I was up here sightseeing. Up here visiting… having a good time.” “They were going to keep my jeep for 24-48 hours so they could FORENSICALLY CHECK IT. They’re keeping my weapons. They gotta RUN THE BALLISTICS ON THEM, THE SERIAL NUMBERS ON THEM.. make sure I’m the RIGHTFUL OWNER and they weren’t used in THE COMMISSION OF A CRIME”
Of the viability of the movement he states, “Oregon state police have brought in TWO MOBILE COMMAND CENTERS.” “A lot of people at the refuge, they’re bailing… It’s over. This game, this part of the stage is over.”
Countering the actual eyewitness reports of surrender, McConnell affirms repeatedly, “He charged at the Law Enforcement.” “He was not on his knees. He was not, none of that. None of that nonsense.” “He went after them, he charged them.” “He charged at them, that ain’t gunning somebody down.”
How could McConnell possibly speculate on the circumstances of Finicum’s death when he was easily a mile away on a twisted, heavily wooded road, and the civilian witnesses other than Victoria Sharp were not permitted to mingle or corroborate testimonies? MCCONNELL IS EITHER A PAID SHILL OR AN INTIMIDATED FALSE WITNESS.
McConnell’s parting advice/warning/threat is priceless: “The biggest thing against those guys, was all the stuff they put on social media. Second time I’ve seen where these cases are revolving around people and what they posted on social media. They [indiscriminate mumble] the first one with rights. You have the right to be stupid, I guess. You know I’ve seen a thing now, I must be a Fed or whatever. No. I’m just smarter than your average retarded bear, and a lot smarter than your average conspiracy theorist.”
