Not luck, divine providence.
You said Aamon didn’t pray and consult. He did.
You often speak of intelligence, but how are you with the real battle?

I know not what source, but I prayed and knew Aamon was doing the right thing – Earnestly seek the greater spiritual gifts. If your spiritual radio is off or mis-tuned, or you are looking through worldly eyes, perhaps you should fast and pray for a source of good spiritual intelligence – Would you not do so if you made a similar temporal mistake? God sees and knows all, and unfortunately the devil sees much. We are in their proxy war, and God can provide all the weapons and Intel – the only cost is your humility.
This does not sound like a comment from a regular listener who knows me or my heart. Nor does it sound like you listened to this entire episode to the end. We are completely on the same page, my friend.

One of my issues with this occupation is the way it is being run and some of the people involved. We have guys who have lied about military service and who are felons and who have been involved in very negative activities who are now part of the Bundy inner circle. These guys are not acting organized at all nor are they putting out a clear, concise narrative.
Another, and probably larger problem I see, is their lack of working comms. As a ham, commo guy, I read about them not being able to communicate from the tower to the CP in an article I found from Vanity Faire. http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2016/01/that-night-i-spent-with-ammon-bundys-armed-militia Here, if the article is accurate, Payne takes the reporter up to the tower, tries to hide the spotting scope then they discover that the guard in the tower has a nonfunctioning radio. So Payne just shrugs it off and says that the guard can just yell down. NO!!!! That’s not how it works. That’s not how any of this works. You immediately swap out radios with the guard so that he has working Comms. The article mentions that there’s a problem with people taking radios and not recharging them. WTF?!? They need a organized Command Post (CP) with a functioning radio desk and a Sgt of the Guard who inspects everyone and ensures that they are squared away. Someone who is always pulling Charge of Quarters (CQ) duties who regularly inventories gear such as radios and who ensures that spares are charging and ready to go as needed. in the article Payne states that the radios are “soup”. Then fix them.
In a recent Forward Observer podcast, https://readfomag.com/2016/01/fo-podcast-episode-031-what-i-learned-at-the-malheur-national-wildlife-refuge/ , it was noted that when the FO reporter showed up at the entrance to the Refuge the gate guard was unable to make radio contact with the HQ. The guard had to call up to the tower and the tower had to relay that there was a reporter trying to enter. REALLY?!?!? So that’s 2 reports from 2 separate sources talking about how crappy their Comms are. Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick!!! If this is how they run their radio nets then imagine their medical, health and hygiene and other duties. Ammon boasted to the Forward Observer reporter about how “robust” their comes were but so far I haven’t seen any evidence of that being true.
They don’t need to be sitting around fires gossiping. They need to have people sitting inside around tables with cadre conducting training and drills on skills such as radio comms and hand signals, tactical medicine, land nav and other skills.
Yes, I know that they are trying to keep it low key and not be all tacticool and toting rifles but inside they need to be training and also have a better Public Information Officer who can do a better job when walking around with press.
I understand what they are trying to accomplish and I support it in theory but seeing how disorganized they are, especially concerning something as basic as commo, I would never consider joining them.
Can you provide the SipseyStreetIrregulars link to the article you mentioned? I looked through the site and couldn’t find it…
Thanks!
