The Republic has fallen. I grieve for my country as I write this.
Yesterday, on June 25th, the Supreme Court ‘ruled’ in favor of upholding key components of ‘Obamacare’, essentially toppling the Constitution when they announced that they were making law. The rulings should have been an easy, no-brainer, decision in favor of Americanism and liberty, but the people and American principles were betrayed.
This morning, on June 26th, the Supreme Court has ‘ruled’ that all 50 states MUST accept homosexual marriage, so it has now officially become our national policy. This, despite multiple states whose constitutions clearly defined marriage as between one man and one woman — as God designed.
These powers they’ve seized are clearly outside the boundary of their constitutional authority. When the Supreme Court declares itself a law-making body, the American government principle of Separation of Powers has clearly been violated at worst, or abandoned and ignored at best.
What’s more, they have set themselves and their authority as supreme over the highest law and authority of the land — God. They have rebelled not only against our constitution and those of the states (the human instrument to guarantee liberty and the rule of law), but they have rebelled against the very source of our liberty and blessings — God.
They have essentially declared themselves as God. And the true God will not be mocked.
The Republic has fallen.
– PRAY and stay in the Word. Pray specifically for courage to not waiver on truth. Pray for discernment and for protection. And pray for repentance for our nation. Finally, pray for His remnant which He is preparing for the days ahead.
– Brace for impact. Become self-reliant TODAY (food, water, shelter, medical, communications, self-defense)
– Prepare for the underground
– Prepare by strategically relocating to strong conservative regions with high populations of God-fearing patriots
– Pray for our leaders who are God-fearing patriots, for the difficult decisions and fights they will have ahead.
– Prepare for rebuilding after we make it through the consequences of our nation’s defiance and rebellion
The stage is set for confrontation and lawsuits against churches who follow God’s word and refuse to marry homosexual couples. I wonder if Lot’s neighbors criticized him for being so “close minded”. Matthew 12:17 comes to mind about now. A person told me “you can’t win in this way of thinking”. I looked at her and said “Every time I say NO”.
What happened to the church? We go from hymns like Sound the Battle Cry, and Onward Christian Soldiers to full retreat before the enemy on every front. This is OUR Country! The last refuge of true freedom in the whole world. Our forebearers knew this, spoke about it, wrote about it over and over that defending the Republic was paramount and religion was key to that defense. Why hen did we become complacenent???????
You ask what happened to our church?.. they sold out for tax exempt status, that’s what happened to our church!.. the regression into debt, materialism, and worldly possessions has taken the wheel…No longer does the word put butts in the seats, so to speak.. But it requires fancy sound systems, cool lighting, state of the art media.. and dont forget power point! No longer is the emphasis on Christ, But rather BIG Money!! for expanded parking lots for Giant mega churches.. you know, saving souls is Much easier with a full audio/visual system to compliment the message. \ Sarc. and lets not forget Style, entertainment and really good shows to appeal to the folks who fill the coffers. Any and all self respecting mega giant, super, soul saving Chruch wouldnt be complete without bling and flair.. Pastors need 3k suits so they look good on camera.. Big cars, Planes.. all the things that tell members what they want to hear…This is salvation with a twist!
End of rant….May God have mercy on our souls.
Texas and other like minded states should secede.
Yes and aftee the “Marriage” ruling said that one day the Supreme Court ruled that The Affordable Healthcare law had to be rewritten by them because the clear legal language of the law was not as important as the “intent of the law”. The following day they released their ruling that the clear intent and wording of the 14th amendment didn’t really apply to the constitution and they needed to reinterpret it “from a better informed understanding of how constitutional imperatives define a liberty that remains urgent in our own era.” When those commissioned and entrusted with interpreting the law, break the law, there is no law.
The when a Homosexual “friend of a friend” was rejoicing that now you could “marry” anyone regardless of having the same genitals I said to him “With all respect, and setting all reference to genitals aside (no pun intended) and not trying to change your mind – but if one judge in California can over ride 8 million legitimate votes, and 5 judges in Washington DC can override 37 million votes and change the clear legal and constitutional meaning of “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” as well as others – then in the near future when a few other radical judges find the “right to Sharia Law” in the Constitution will you support me when they come to crucify me and others like me? I’ll support you when they come to hang you or throw you off a building.”
@ Larry:
My Catholic Church is on the poor side. We don’t have fancy sound systems, cool lights or big screens for power point. Our music is one guy on a piano and/or organ, a lady who volunteers her talents with a flute, and a rotating group for cantor. My pastor drives a 10 yr. old Nissan Sentra and dresses modestly. Are we at full capacity? Not even close. I know, I’m an Usher. We’re at maybe 50%. At High Holy events (Ash Wednesday, Easter, Christmas) it’s standing room only.
I’m guessing it might be the same for other denominations.
Our Church will not bend to the will of the un-Supreme Court.
BTW…good rant.
Isn’t it better to allow it? Churches don’t have to wed anyone if they disagree with their lifestyles. Especially since in the U.S. Marriages are first and foremost a matter of a marriage license. The ruling does not, in any way, require churches to marry LGBT couples. Just as it does not require Buddhists to marry christian couples. Yet how can we look ourselves in the mirror by denying anyone the same rights others enjoy? And that’s where I stand really: As long as churches are not required to do something against their will, it should be ok. Any individual person may not have to agree with it, but that does not mean that anyone else should be treated like second class citizens. That’s all really. I’m a big fan of live and let live.
Too bad the militant homosexual community doesn’t feel the same way (live and let live).
As far as you’re concerned, churches shouldn’t be forced to do something against their will, but individual people should?
The Bill of Rights was put in place to protect one’s religious liberty. That means the individual, not an institution. The Bill of Rights doesn’t say ‘churches have the right of religious freedom’.
And finally, sin is not a human right, whether it’s stealing, adultery, or homosexuality.
