Often overlooked, but extremely vital, communications in a time of crisis is explored with guest host, John Jacob Schmidt of Radio Free Redoubt

In the information age, worldwide communication has become commonplace. With the internet, and a stratosphere filled with satellites, one can observe events halfway around the world in real-time. While the days of a switchboard operator and rotary-dial phones are long gone, the basics have not changed. Some way, somehow, we need to be able to communicate with one another. But what happens when the current communications infrastructure fails? Have you worked that into your preps?

My friend, and co-host for this broadcast, John Jacob Schmidt once made a statement to me that I still consider. He said, “Take your laptop and your phone and throw it in your trunk. Now, try to contact me. If you can’t, you become that guy I used to know.” John’s words, as I said, resonated with me because of their powerful simplicity.

What is the point of having a network of friends and like-minded associates if you cannot contact them when it really counts? Thankfully, there are numerous solutions to consider which will cover any communication concerns.  It is some of these solutions that we explore on today’s broadcast of The Liberty Brothers Radio Show.
