As we sit comfortably at home, the people of the Ukraine are marching in the streets protesting a tyrannical government. This video [graphic content] shows government snipers firing upon its own citizens. Is this article reason enough to wake up and realize that government does not always have the best interest of the citizens? With our ever growing and overreaching government, can’t you see this coming our way. Pray for the people of the Ukraine and we encourage you to get involved and to help preserve what is left of our freedom in America.
Ukraine Crisis: Video Evidence of Government Snipers’ Massacre of Kiev Protesters. Footage has emerged which shows a group of anti-government protesters being picked off by special force snipers while progressing through Kiev’s Independence Square. As medics try to attend to the victims, the snipers continue to fire shots at the group. Fierce clashes continued on the bloodiest day of the unrest with BBC reporting at least 22 dead so far. I doubt the Us would ever sink into a protest of this magnitude. Civil war would most certainly be first..
Much like the Cold war, Both sides, armed to the teeth prevents skirmishes.. But both sides armed to the teeth also means whatever clash happens is going to be total devastation.

And the first president to lead troops against the citizens was Washington to put down the Whiskey Rebellion in 1794. The farmers were rebelling over taxation without representation. (sound famaliar?) Many were Revolutionary War veterans.
I dont disagree that there are instances where government has used force to put down protests, But in a rush to counter my point, you missed mine.

In a rush to counter my post people missed the biggest example, The bonus march of 1932. But even the bonus march with it’s 43 thousand protesters, 1000 Military, 6 tanks, and 800 police isnt on par with the Ukraine protests..
My point wasn’t to imply that we don’t have our protests, my point is simply , that if we ever have a protests of the Magnitude of the Ukraine, we would skip the rock throwing and bottle hurling and descend right to armed rebellion/ civil war, because of so many armed citizens…Brinkmanship is the deterrent.
We should add SWAT, DEA and HRT raids, the statistically HIGH death rate od eye witness to the Kennedy assassination, the ‘Arkan-cides’ of the Clinton Admin’ to that tally as well. Historically, the biggest murderer of people, is usually government – often their own.
I absolutely agree that as far as physical restraint against tyrannical politicians, the armed citizen is probably the best. Remember too that those Ukrainian police (and some military) had obeyed orders to NOT fire and had watched their uniformed ‘brothers’ shot and burned by these street protesters. When the rules of engagement were changed and they were allowed to return fire – it did not take much imagination to see that they showed little mercy.
Now – did events ACTUALLY happen this way, or is/was it a media manipulation?
For example: If controlled ‘reports’ of the capture and torture of U.S. police by say, (pick a silly group) McDonalds Employees…. and then police were sent in to retake a captured McDonalds, you can bet that there would not be much restraint. Ronald McDonald would likely be gassed, tazed, beaten then killed >because the cops on scene were led to believe that atrocities had been committed against ‘brother’ cops. We humans reacted based on how we BELIEVE a situation to be – not always how it is. This is exploited by those who think that they own us.
The simplest form of mind control is controlling what information goes into a person’s mind. If instead of Ronald leading the employees of McDonalds to capture a food-court, it was widely reported that ‘American Taliban Christian Homeschooler Racist J-Walkers’ from Idaho’ were committing atrocities, then the media would have the TV watchers ‘call for ACTION!” and in short order, politicians can – using official channels- incite those in uniform to attack Americans. Once blood flows, 99% of ‘reason and compassion’ goes out the window.
Just a thought –
Can it happen here? Yes. Will it? Only God knows. However, the move to isolate police and military from their own people, that’s a precursor to just this sort of thing and more.
