There is a lot to remember about Mandela, but we should not forget that he was a Communist. This is just to keep you informed about the facts as you will be hearing lots of praises during the next week.
He was also a member of the South African Communist Party and a co-founder of Umkhonto we Sizwe, a guerrilla warfare group declared a terrorist organization by the United States in the 1960s.

Stevens County Assembly
I would like to remind everyone of the upcoming Assembly meeting this coming Monday, Dec.9th at 6 PM in the Chewelah Civic Center.
This Monday, we will will have as a special guest, 4th District Legislator Matt Shea who will give us an update on the Freedom Agenda in the Legislature. I would extend an invitation to those in Spokane County also who may be able to attend.
We will be showing a new film which is very well suited for the times we live in. The film title is “Divorcing God.” When a nation forgets it’s moral foundation, it is certain to fail; but godly people who are courageous and determined can gain victory even in this day and time. Please invite the whole family and your friends. The film is only about 30 minutes.
After the film, we will elaborate on the subject of: “What or who is a real Patriot”. I will be sharing a true historical and Biblical story of a real Patriot. Many so called conservatives call themselves patriots and many so called conservatives also have avoided the subject due to political correctness. Please don’t miss this information as it is something we all need to answer.

This is a link to Bateman’s company. His bio suggests he is a career staff type. If he had been in combat arms he would have put it in the bio. The company itself seems to be an admin-level Blackwater. Pretty clearly designed to live on the government teat.
This is what I wrote in the comments section of the Esquire article on 5 Dec:
Incredible that a man sworn to uphold the Constitution could come up with this. May I suggest that with the recent purges of Generals and Admirals in the U.S. military establishment, Lt. Col. Bateman is maneuvering to eventually fill one of those vacancies? The new regime wants “dependable” officers that will toe the party line. Lt. Col. Bateman seems to be the sort of man that would be willing to disarm his fellow citizens, by force, if commanded to do so by his superiors. And that is precisely why the Second Amendment is so important.
