Please join us at Nate’s New York Pizza in Post Falls, Idaho, on June 1st at 11:30am. We’ll be watching the Oath Keepers’ car driven by Jeffrey Earnhardt win the NASCAR race in Dover, Delaware. Nate has generously offered to donate 20% of all sales on Saturday to Inland Northwest Oath Keepers. All funds collected will go towards our Patriot event on July 26-28th at Farragut State Park. Inland Northwest Oath Keepers are asking all patriotic and liberty-loving Americans to help us spread the word about this June 1st event.

I wanted to let you know about an excellent alternative to the public schools that we used with our children.

It is called the Abeka Academy. It is affiliated with Pensacola Christian Academy in Florida. Pastor Chuck Baldwin may be familiar with it as Pensacola was his old stomping grounds.
It provides K-12 education from a Christian perspective. We last used their homeschooling program in 2003 when our youngest son graduated from Abeka. He went into U.S. Air Force a few months after graduating from Abeka. We thought graduation from this curriculum may be an issue for entry into the military since at the time Abeka was not considered to be an accredited school. On the contrary, his recruiter checked out and researched the program and was impressed with it.
Looking at their website it appears they have taken advantage of the newer technologies such DVD’s, streaming video, computer based course materials as well as good old-fashioned textbooks. Tuition costs are still very reasonable and they seem to be able to offer quite a bit more than when we last used them ten years ago.
We had an excellent experience with Abeka and would highly recommend them if it fits your circumstances. Even back in the late 1990’s when we first started Abeka it was clear the government-run public schools were failing our children and we needed to get them away from that incompetent institution of indoctrination. Our only regret is that we didn’t find out about Abeka sooner. I’m sure there are similar programs offered by other private schools but this worked great for us.
