While visiting Idaho I was able to show our Idaho friends my PRK-Legal AR-15. Upon showing the rifle to the friend he asks “whats up with the magazine release”? I said “that’s a bullet button” and spent the next several minutes attempting to explain all the hoops I have to jump through to work around the gun bans in the PRK. I felt fortunate to be able to buy a gun that had been banned for 10 years in the PRK by “skirting” the “removable magazine” gun ban. Well enough of the explanation and on to the flowcharts. You tell me if this falls under “infringement”? An example of what it is like to buy a gun in the PRK (Peoples Republic of Kalifornia).
Oh and my friends comment about the ban. He said he would move tomorrow!
Wow now that is dumb. I would find it really funny if someone made a .223 rimfire cartridge 😛 and made California’s life miserable :P.
Delta 01 thanks again for a great post. This just happens to be a subject near and dear to me. Well any infringement on the constitutional rights of the people is dear to me.
I have tried to remain anonymous but, after prayer and meditation it is time that I speak up. As a disabled veteran and Marine who takes my Oath seriously it truly bothers me when an elected official or officials blatantly and openly disregard their Oath. In my humble opinion it is the same as spitting on the Oath Keepers and Patriots who believe their Oath was not just for their length of service.
There are millions of people who do not understand the integrity and love of country that comes with the Oath. Be it in military service or public service the Oath is the same. Defend the Constitution against all Enemies Foreign and Domestic.
These public officials have gone back on their Oath. This is done under the guise of “Safety” and “Security”. It is our responsibility of those who keep the Oath to remove these elected officials and vote in those who’s moral compass still points north, and their integrity will not let them vote against their Oath for personal gain.
I will close my comment with a quote from Benjamin Franklin: “Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.”
We probably could not have them tried for treason successfully, but the bar is lower for impeachment. If you can create a groundswell of support for impeaching elected officials who have violated their oaths of office, you might remove a few and scare the rest into toeing the line.
