I know you’re busy but I wondered why Utah with all of it’s conservative, American Loving population as well as Western Colorado were not included as opportunities for the American Redoubt?

   Thanks for listening to Radio Free Redoubt!  And thanks for the email and great question.  As you may know, James Rawles conceptualized the American Redoubt and called for the formalization of it, naming it and highlighting the map of what he perceived would be a great start for proposing the concept.  That article can be found at:


He explains in the article his reasons for choosing the region that he did.  But please do not confuse the proposed map with hard and set boundaries.  As events unfold before us in this once-great nation, we could easily see the outer edges of the American Redoubt expand and contract on all sides.  Only the future holds the answers to what it might look like when all is said and done, should the United States collapse and fragment, as many people estimate might happen in the not-too-distant future.


I also believe other redoubts will emerge, consisting of pockets of God-fearing, Liberty-loving patriots all down the Rockies, Texas, The midwest, the South, and so on.  We’ll see.  Just maybe, as I mentioned in the very first broadcast, a “Utah Redoubt” will emerge, to include parts of Nevada and Colorado and ???.
