A little over two years ago I wrote an article in which I discussed the idea of letting the liberal elements in America go their way, and conservatives go theirs. At the time I felt that it was not a good idea, and that maintaining the union was the best way to go, all things considered. Link

Recently Dave Hunter sent me an article that he wrote on the topic, and after considering his proposals, I found myself thinking “You know, this may be the way to go after all—sort of a Red-state/Blue-state separation—an amicable separation, instead of a civil war.”

This article was sent in by a listener who found it at CanadaFreePress.com.  While the American Redoubt is not a movement promoting the secession from the United States, it’s worth noting the frustration among American Patriots at the relentless propagation of the socialistic, communistic, and globalistic agenda that is engulfing our nation.  The message of Radio Free Redoubt is the promotion and encouragement of a demographic shift of like-minded God-fearing, liberty-loving patriots into a geographic region.  Our philosophy is that through this shift in demographics, we will affect a change resulting in leadership, legislation, policies, and an overall change of our regional culture that is wholly American.  By “American” I mean a regional culture that embraces and aggressively promotes our traditional Judeo/Christian values, our American heritage, the American spirit of innovation, the spirit of the U.S. Constitution (Limited government by the consent of the people, protection of the rights of its citizens, and defined duties and responsibilities of said government, such as defending our borders and protecting our sovereignty), and a region made up of a majority of citizens who will not tolerate, and in fact are hostile toward, any encroachment of our values by anti-American ideals.

We believe that, like so many other republics and empires in history, the United States is not only in decline, but is in danger of being destroyed altogether, and we believe that it is by design by globalists who desire to destroy America, in an effort to destroy Americanism.  The effort to destroy America is deliberate and only a fool or an ignorant person could deny it.  It is quite possible (if we don’t reverse our course), and many analysts are predicting, that the United States could fragment in the next 10 to 15 years (without the aid of a catastrophic national emergency), resulting in the formation of several smaller nation-states.  There is a long list of historical examples from which to draw this conclusion.

If what analysts are saying is true, and America does collapse (and/or fragment) then what will emerge and prevail will be the result of the will of the majority in a particular region.  If we hope to emerge with something similar to traditional Americanism, then there must be an overwhelming majority of like-minded people in the American Redoubt, including patriotic leaders holding offices and positions of influence in their communities and across the region.  Those leaders will be put there by conservative American Patriots.  To ensure the survival of our values and ideals, we have to be just as (or more) deliberate and intentional as the globalists and socialists who are trying to destroy them.

At Radio Free Redoubt, and in the American Redoubt Movement, we are NOT advocating seceding from the United States.  It won’t even be necessary, given the momentum with which the enemies have projected our country toward the proverbial cliff.  One day the oppression may become so unbearable that there will be no other choice but to consider such radical measures.  But for now, our message is this:  If you want communism in Kalifornia or New York or New Jersey, then knock yourselves out.  But don’t expect us to embrace it here and most certainly, don’t attempt to FORCE us to accept it.  It will be met with fierce resistance, as is our duty as freedom-loving American Patriots.

As Dave Hunter was quoted in the article, “You know, this may be the way to go after all—sort of a Red-state/Blue-state separation—an amicable separation, instead of a civil war.”  If things get much worse, this would be a wonderfully acceptable course of action to consider … for someone who is naïve.  The reality is that the globalists would never be content to just stay on their “Blue” side and leave those well-enough alone over here on the “Red” side.  Every light of liberty that shines, they make an enemy of and relentlessly maneuver to snuff it out.  And their goal is to utterly destroy all vestiges of freedom and liberty and Americanism, wherever it might exist, and to eventually purge those beliefs from the hearts and minds of anyone who clings to them.  There would be no viable way to have an “amicable separation” with the haters of America without a civil war.  And civil war is something so vile and destructive, that it should be avoided to the point that NO OTHER option is available and the pursuits of any and all other recourse are exhausted.  Until then, I propose that we set aside notions (if you have them) of secession and instead focus on promoting the American Redoubt movement and getting as many Redoubters moved/relocated here as quickly as possible.  Then, pray that God chooses to protect His remnant from His wrath that I fear must come to this unrepentant land.
